vs. It Came for Friendship but Found Food

The B-Raters vs. It Came for Friendship but Found Food

As usual, we haven't seen this film prior to the livestream, but we do briefly research the movies we choose. It Came for Friendship but Found Food was released into the public domain six years ago and still doesn't have enough votes for IMdB to rate it! It doesn't appear to have so much as a social media profile or a single blog review!

Hating on low-budget, B-grade movies is what we do, but this does not bode well...

TRIGGER WARNING

We have literally no idea what is in this movie.

The B-Raters vs. It Came for Friendship but Found Food starts around 9pm, CT this Tuesday night, live on YouTube!

vs. Evil Brain from Outer Space

LIVE Saturday

This Saturday around 10:00 pm Central, The B-Raters get together to face the B-movie classic, Evil Brain from Outer Space.

As per usual, we do not screen movies but we have all seen this one multiple times. In fact, it has been riffed by many groups who are better, and better outfitted, at this thing but we're throwing our hat in the ring and riffing it LIVE this Saturday at the usual places.

Saturday night at 10:00 pm Central, The B-Raters vs. Evil Brain from Outer Space on Hangouts on Air and YouTube. Don't miss The Countdown!

vs. Attack of the Monsters

Episode 205: The B-Raters vs. Attack of the Monsters starts Saturday night at 10:00pm Central on Google Hangouts and YouTube. The replay will then be made available shortly after broadcast (usually a day or two). We're actually getting to the point where we can do a little post-production and throw some lipstick on these pigs but it's slow going.

This episode features one of the stars of our show, Gamera, in his quest to fight Guiron. It is also known by the title Gamera vs. Guiron. This is one of those B-movie classics (all Gamera films are) that has to be seen to be forgotten.

Gamera was originally meant to rival Godzilla (he fights him at some point) but became a Japanese kaiju icon in his own right following the release of several films in the 1960s. His fame grew in the United States in the 1970s after UHF stations began playing Gamera features usually on cut-rate Saturday movie features, many of which were hosted. The 1960s saw a boom of Big Lizard films from Japan, rivaling the Big Bug movie boom of the 1950s here in the States. Several more have been made in recent years but the original run of seven Gamera films ended in the 1970s with the rights-holding company's fold. Gamera has also found fame inside the four-color world with a movie tie-in series from Dark Horse.

The B-Raters vs. Attack of the Monsters (Gamera vs. Guiron) LIVE this Saturday night around 10pm Central on Google Hangouts and YouTube.

vs. Starman - Attack from Space (ep. 201)

The B-Raters ep. 201

There are apparently several Starman films and, according to the source you draw from, Attack from Space is either the second or fifth installment in the series.

Either which way you slice it, it's a stinker and this Saturday around 10:00pm Central, The B-Raters are going to smell-ll-l-l-l what the Starman has laid. We're fairly certain anyone involved in the movie is dead and damn certain they ought to be, so we're pulling no punches.

We've been away for several weeks observing the American holidays, so this is our first episode of the new "season." We're not too particular as to how this all plays out, since we're not in syndication or even being "produced" by anyone other than ourselves at this point, but we figured that numbering the episodes couldn't hurt and setting more regular off-weeks will definitely help us better manage things, so we're going to do our best.

Yes, The B-Raters are back this Saturday at our usual time - 10:00pm Central - with our first episode of the new season! Ep. 201: The B-Raters vs. Starman - Attack from Space LIVE on Google Hangouts!
