Hello There!

Hello, whores!  And also whores.

Isn't it great to talk this way?  On our oh-so "adult" blog and shit.

ANYwho, I know we've been AWOL, and I apologize.  Sadly, this is not a momentous post marking our return or anything, just a brief note about some housecleaning.  See, we haven't been able to access our own website in two years now, and no one seems to know why... well, that's a lie: Several people to whom I have spoken seem to know why (I suspect), but refuse to confess, as they do not want to accept responsibility.

That -- again -- is what my paranoid mind suspects, but cannot necessarily prove... although, should a court case come about, I have a sneaking suspicion I could prove all sorts of things.

(But that's another blog.)

ANYwho, I see that several of our like-minded friends' links, profiles, and sites were similarly hijacked since I last checked, so I cleared them out.  Anyone who might read this is encouraged to contact me here with new infoes, and I'll be happy to re-post.

I'm looking into some things presently, and plan to return the site (as a whole) to working order -- if, and only if, I am ever able to get back into it.  I can be difficult, I suppose, but I do have my standards -- and being able to access a website I am working on is one of those.

I believe Christian Bale once called me "toxic."*

So... as you were.

* DISCLAIMER: He did not, actually, but I choose to believe it. I choose also to believe this disclaimer is necessary, because he seems like the kind of guy who might sue.

Technical Issues

Sorry that the last couple of flicks have had issues. When we recorded Back In Action, both Brian and myself were having connectivity issues (that started right before the broadcast and continued well after), and last night's shitfest found Brian without a working computer. The audio is so bad that we aren't "officially" publishing it; you can find it through the direct links posted on various outlets.
The last couple of years have been particularly difficult due mostly to our individual drinking problems: Both Chris and Brian lost computers due to spills. We are not a high-tech, futurewave unicorn; we're a small collective of smartasses who get together to make fun of bad movies. None of us are financially solvent enough to be able to purchase computers at a rate commensurate with our ability to destroy them.

Sadly, the show is not popular enough to actually make us money. So, while we continue to work on bringing you a better show, we also have to work "real" jobs so that we can afford new computers. And possibly Finishing School, where we hope to learn how to properly drink beverages without dousing electronics.

Episode 3.07 Canceled!

Due to ongoing technical issues, this week's episode has been canceled. We will reschedule the program for a later date. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but we have dozens of live movie riffs available on The Weirding YouTube Channel.

Please enjoy a rerun and our deepest gratitude for your understanding. Thanks!

Because Chris is Basically an Asshole

So I dumped an entire cup of coffee on my laptop the other night. Whatever, I was bored and it felt right. Of course it was a complete accident. I still don't have a computer desk, so I was working on the kitchen table which has no room in the first place and is nowhere to be having a computer in the second.

Also, like the asshole I am, I hadn't gotten around to uploading all the promos and stuff to the site, so I'll have to redo all that unless I can afford to recover it from the doused laptop, if it even can be recovered... Unfortunately, I can't even begin working on anything until at least Monday, when the new laptop is set to be delivered. Having to make such a large purchase has also strapped me financially for the moment, so I have no idea what you're in store for - I can only hope the internal sound and video are capable of delivering a smooth show, because I can't afford to upgrade anything for a few months. I got the best laptop I could afford, and I'm pretty sure it's at least as good as the last, so I hope things will be fine.

We may skip Saturday night due to this, but we'll do Driller Killer at some point. I may have access to some kind of device which will allow me to go on with the show, but I can make no promises as of right now. If nothing else, we'll start the season next Saturday but keep the episode numbering, so Driller Killer remains 3.01 - whether we get to do it first or not - to avoid confusion.

Truly sorry for this, but things happen. It isn't like we're a "real" studio or show yet, anyway. I hope you'll miss us if we can't make it, but maybe things will work out to where we can still give you a show tomorrow night. Promos will continue to run as scheduled.

Recording Issues

Yes, we suffered some inexplicable issues during recording last week. I had installed some new software on the machine earlier in the day, so I just rolled my computer back to before that time. Of course, we won't know how things are going to work until we are actually recording, so here's to hoping for the best.

I still haven't seen the playback so I have no idea how it affected the rest of the show. Sorry!
